Our Langley, B.C. distribution centre is currently looking for a Distribution Forklift Operator to be accountable for receiving and shipping products on-site.
Job Description – Distribution Forklift Operator
The Distribution Forklift Operator is a critical role in providing the outstanding service that our customers have come to expect from AFA. They are responsible for receiving building materials products on inbound carriers like railcars and trucks. The Forklift Operator is also responsible for storing and handling inventory and redistributing products onto out-bound trucks for delivery to our customers across BC and the USA. A good Forklift Operator is an effective communicator with an eye for detail who is self-motivated and able to work within a team-based culture.
Key Qualifications
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (email, phone and in-person)
- Good physical health with the ability to operate equipment and lift/maneuver heavy objects
- Good time management and accountability for tasks prioritization
Experience
- Previous forklift experience is an asset, but not required – training is available
