We are looking for an experienced events professional with a passion for technology and a talent for creating memorable experiences. Join our dynamic team as a Senior Event Manager of our top-tier tech conferences. As the face of our flagship events, you'll lead the execution of immersive and impactful gatherings that bring together industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts.
As the Senior Event Manager of our conferences, you'll lead strategic planning, speaker relations, end-to-end event management, collaborate closely with the conference producer, and engage stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and maximum impact.
Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- End-to-End Event Management: Take ownership of the entire event lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting to on-site and remote execution and post-event analysis. Your planning and organizational skills will ensure that every aspect of the event exceeds expectations.
- Speaker Relations: Forge strong relationships with speakers, leaders, and influencers within the tech community. From securing top-tier keynote speakers to providing them with logistical support, your role will be important in curating an engaging and diverse lineup that captivates our audience. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships will be essential in driving engagement and maximizing the value of our events.
- Collaboration with Conference Producer: Work closely with the conference producer to align on event objectives, themes, and content.
- Collaboration with teams across departments: align processes and goals, brainstorm and discuss ideas, proofread newsletters and briefs, etc.
- Sourcing and collaborating with various contractors and venues to facilitate event logistics.
- Working closely with designers and production companies to outline tasks and ensure seamless execution.
- Communicating with attendees and providing necessary support throughout the event.
- Engaging with volunteers and coordinating their involvement in event operations.
- Updating website content to reflect event details and relevant information accurately.
- Setting up and coordinating activities for online events to ensure smooth execution.
- Facilitating onboarding activities for event sponsors to maximize their involvement and support.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in event management, with a proven track record of successfully executing conferences, hackathons, meetups or other educational events.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships and negotiating with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools, with a keen eye for leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance the attendee experience.
- Ability to communicate quickly via email and online messenger apps.
- Proactive approach to assignments.
- High self-organization level.
