Development Manager – Leading a cloud focused development team.

The talented candidate will work in our Cloud Development Team. Line managing a team of skilled engineers, collaborating closely with QA and SRE, you will help work on and co-ordinate projects that map to our range of MVPs, VPs, and Products. As products mature, they are operated by our SRE team, your role will include ensuring modern engineering practises to enhance that flow of product maturity.
Tech Stack: .Net Core. Azure Devops. Git. Docker. Kubernetes. Redis. SQL. Python. GitHub Actions.
Duties and Responsibilities
A mix of product development and line management:
· Recruitment and retention of development staff including their assessment and performance management
· High level planning of key product features
· Resource allocation
· Development of new products and tooling
· Code quality and AppSec
The role will report directly to the Head of Cloud Engineering
Skills you may have, or will learn 😊
· Effective communication and listening
· Stakeholder management
· Strong software engineering principles
· Containerisation - Docker and Kubernetes
· Cloud environments. like AWS, GCP or Azure.
· Automation
Helpful Knowledge and Experience
· Line management
· Experience with Microsoft’s Technology stack.
· Collaborating with a global and remote workforce
· .Net Core ; Python
· Strong Azure or AWS knowledge
