Product Manager
We’re searching for a passionate product manager to join our team and help take our product focus to the next level. As an ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly technical field, such as software development, computer science, or engineering. You have an unwavering belief in clear and effective communication. Your ability to remove ambiguity in the SDLC, enhance product delivery and drive value to the end users is second to none.
The Product Manager will take ownership of one or two products and through collaboration with commercial, marketing and engineering, control the work stream into the product development teams.
Objectives
- Facilitate and coordinate the alignment between product development and other functions of the business
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Ensure a user focus on the product development and delivery
- Provide transparency into the life cycle of the product and features and manage expectations of delivery
Responsibilities
- Market / product hypothesis identification, testing and (in)validation
- Proactively analyse, report, and recommend changes to the product based on data from feedback loops
- Assist in building customer and user insights into all stages of the planning and execution process, ensuring the continuous validation of features and stories with Customers and users
- Backlog prioritisation and trade-off, including acceptance criteria setting on stories
- Thematic roadmap and its presentation for assigned product(s)
- High-integrity roadmap commitments
- Product profitability and wallet share optimisation
- Revenue protection and customer retention
- User and customer interviews
- Launch planning and benefits tracking of assigned product(s)
- Early access programme co-ordination for features
Skills and Experience Required
- 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile environment
- Ability to make clear prioritization decisions and work with a technical team in understanding trade-off and design decisions
- Experience in defining the criteria for acceptable solutions (scale, performance, reliability, documentation, ease-of-use, etc.) and able to communicate and be responsive to a distributed, global team through multiple communication channels
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving start-up environment with the ability to multi-task and prioritise projects based on changing business requirements
- Ability to partner with stakeholders in the business on critical projects that support our strategic goals
- A skilled communicator who is transparent, collaborative, and open to feedback
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes or containers would be beneficial.
- Cybersecurity market experience would be beneficial
