Job Description: As a Retail Inventory Associate at Global Partners, you will be responsible for managing inventory processes, ensuring stock accuracy, and supporting overall store operations. Your role will involve monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock audits, and assisting with inventory-related tasks to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or low stock items to management.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking merchandise as it arrives.
Stock Organization:
- Organize and maintain stockroom and sales floor merchandise to ensure easy accessibility and efficient storage.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and arrangement of products to facilitate easy identification and retrieval.
- Assist with setting up promotional displays and organizing merchandise for sales events.
Operational Support:
- Work with team members to ensure that inventory processes are followed accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with data entry and maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions.
- Support the store team with various tasks related to inventory control and stock management.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with stock inquiries and helping customers locate specific products.
- Collaborate with store staff to address customer needs and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory management or a related retail role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and stock-related tasks.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using inventory management systems and office equipment.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving merchandise.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to contributing to team success.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in inventory management or related fields are a plus.
