About the Role
Hydra Host is in the midst of hypergrowth and is seeking an intelligent self-directed individual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic to join the team as Director of Finance & Operations reporting to the COO. This individual will have robust leadership experience and expertise in creating scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive financial and operational strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives and enhance overall performance.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and compliance. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.
- Operational Management: Manage and optimize operational processes across the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery and resource utilization.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights and recommendations to the executive team. Prepare and present reports to the board and senior management on financial health and operational performance.
- Cash Flow Management: Lead cash flow management initiatives, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs while optimizing capital allocation.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and operations team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other departments, including sales, marketing, and human resources, to support strategic initiatives and drive organizational success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, and investors. Lead investor relations activities and facilitate communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven track record in financial planning and analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting principles, and operational best practices. Familiarity with financial software and tools.
