The Maker will take products from ideation to working prototype, a DIY-er at heart with a passion for the outdoors and an inventor mindset. This is a hands-on role that requires taking the product from the design brief to the pattern, prototyping, and testing. We expect the Maker to take results from initial prototyping and testing and translate those changes back into the design. 2D drawing experience is preferred.
Specific Accountabilities include:
- Create patterns using Optitex PDS.
- Work together with the Sample Department to build prototypes
- Consider feedback from the Sample Department when making pattern changes to accommodate manufacturing best practices
- Perform in-house testing of early prototypes
- Maintain the established process for documentation and organization of patterns, SOP, BOMs, and related information.
- Meet development deadlines to ensure on-time product launch.
- Collaborate with the entire product development team on product ideas and updates.
What’s in it for you?
Besides working for the leader in ultralight outdoor gear, with huge revenue growth and a team of smart, motivated, and collaborative associates, you get:
- Competitive compensation package
- Health Insurance
- Deep discounts on all gear
- Sabbaticals for thru-hikes and epic adventures
