Social Media Content Coordinator

Location: New York, NY (Midtown Manhattan)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Social Media Content Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of multiple social media accounts. This role focuses on content creation, scheduling, engagement monitoring, and basic digital marketing support. The position is based in-office in Midtown Manhattan and is suited for candidates interested in building experience in social media, content development, and digital marketing operations.

 

Social Media Content Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, schedule, and publish daily social media content across multiple platforms 
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to messages, comments, and inquiries as appropriate 
  • Assist with content optimization using tags, keywords, and basic SEO practices 
  • Manage content scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer or similar platforms) 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines 
  • Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency 
  • Support the development of blog posts, captions, and basic marketing copy 
  • Design simple graphics and visual content using tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Assist with paid content efforts, including pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns 
  • Track and report on engagement metrics as needed 
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the marketing team 

Social Media Content Coordinator Preferred Qualification:

  • Relevant field of study in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok 
  • Basic understanding of content creation, branding, and digital marketing concepts 
  • Experience with design tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite preferred 
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to proofread and edit content effectively 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in an office environment
