We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineering Lead to join a growing Sports Betting and iGaming operator in Tallinn, Estonia in a BRAND NEW ROLE for the business. This company has a long-term focus and goal to be one of the leading iGaming operators and they are looking for the right candidate to be an integral part of the journey and help them achieve this goal. This company are starting on their SRE journey and needs an SRE Lead to join their Platform team. The right individual will have experience working in an SRE team measuring and achieving SLIs and SLOs to meet the companies needs. They will have the ability to work on the vision for SRE and monitoring across RSI, choosing the right tools for the jobs and building an SRE team to achieve their growth challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the company's site reliability goals, formulation of objectives in alignment with high-level organisation strategy.
  • Work with globally distributed engineering and product teams to negotiate and measure SLIs and SLOs
  • Work closely with the Technical Support Manager and Infrastructure Team Lead on incident response management
  • Introduce and foster a culture around data-driven reliability, monitoring and automation following SRE principles
  • Implementation of monitoring solutions with metric-driven alerting, logging and tracing

 

In order to succeed, you need

  • Experience recruiting and managing a team of SREs
  • Strong inclination to a test-first development approach including DevOps automation code
  • Strong views on evolving SRE practices
  • Strong AWS experience
  • Experience of supporting live systems as part of a wider SRE / DevOps methodology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fostering a positive work environment and relationships
  • Self-motivation and a passion to influence others to succeed
