Production Copywriter
What we are seeking:
- We’re an in-house, full-service creative agency within one of the world’s largest life science companies. We are seeking a strong production copy editor with:
- An ability to help our writers clearly distill complex technical content into meaningful marketing copy

Duties:
- This position will handle copywriting as assigned for a high volume of marketing pieces, including emails, brochures, web banners, flyers, and trade show booths.
- It requires a Jack- or Jill-of-all-trades who can write quickly and well, isn’t afraid to transform at-times challenging scientific subject matter into compelling marketing copy, and can expeditiously develop effective headlines and messaging.
Skills:
- Strong copywriting/copy editing background and ability to deliver concise content that adheres to our brand style guidelines; ensures correct trademark usage, grammar, punctuation, etc.; and upholds a consistent approach across all marketing materials
- Ability to distill complex technical/scientific information into effective, value-driven messaging
- Exceptional attention to detail and high regard for quality
- Expert knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style
- Ability to quickly learn and integrate “house” style exceptions into above guidelines
- Preference for and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent collaboration and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe InCopy, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of marketing best practices
Education:
- BS in English, journalism, marketing, advertising, or related field
- 1–3 years of copywriting experience, preferably working with or for clients in the life sciences or biotech fields
