Customer Engineer
- The Customer Success team provides an effective model for onboarding, supporting, and building valuable relationships with business customers as they adopt our technology products.
- We are seeking a Customer Engineer who is passionate about technology and delightful customer experiences.
- The Customer Engineer will serve as a technical consultant to customers that have purchased client technology products while partnering directly with stakeholders across the enterprise to develop, promote and improve our product offerings.
Key responsibilities include
- Providing a high-touch customer experience, communicating technical concepts, and explaining how client software products work to technical and non-technical users.
- Empathizing with users and quickly grasping the issues they’re facing.
- Solving open-ended problems.
- Becoming a subject matter expert on an evolving suite of technical products.
- Leveraging data to make decisions and get to the root cause of customer needs.
- Is happy to take on new projects, which can sometimes involve quickly researching to become a subject matter expert while seeing things through to completion.
- Building and maintaining excellent internal and external client relationships.
- Driving the user feedback loop to prioritize high-value features on product roadmaps.
- Executing on an organization-level objective of providing a best-in-class B2B experience.
- Maintaining auditable customer records in Salesforce CRM.
- Performing with minimal direction and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or military experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience with system integration technologies (RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0, or TLS).
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Agile practices.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another public cloud service.
- 4+ years of experience developing enterprise applications in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/React.js, or Node.js
- 4+ years of experience using open-source frameworks to develop enterprise applications.
