Technical Services Consultant (Poultry Farms, Hatcheries and Processing Plants)we are looking for KZN and Johannesburg so 2 consultants 

CRITERIA:

Education: 

• Tertiary education: Bachelor’s degree in science (minimum).
• Computer: a good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Laboratory Experience: Microbiology or Analytical Chemistry

Language:

• Afrikaans and English. An African language would be a bonus e.g., Tswana in northwest and IsiZulu in KZN.
• Read and write English and Afrikaans.
• Communicate with a broad spectrum of individuals from Labour to Senior Management.

Other: 

• Self-motivated and disciplined.
• Minimum code 8 driver’s licence. Code 10 would be an advantage.
• Neat and well presented.

Duties:

• Audit the biosecurity, chemical application and chemical use on poultry farms, hatcheries, and processing plants.
• Submit audit reports to our clients Senior Management and our Head Office.
• Liaise between our company and the client.

General Job Description:

• Visit farms, hatcheries, and processing plants as per schedule to audit the biosecurity and clean out process. 
• Ensure that the farms are correctly prepared for the clean out.
• Monitor and check the wash out and disinfection process. 
• Monitor and check the chemical use and application.
• Tabulate chemical use per farm, hatchery and processing plant and report.
• Prepare detailed reports for each farm, hatchery and processing plant visited. These reports will be sent to our clients Senior Management.
• Monitor the hygiene scores from each farm, hatchery and processing plant and compile a database of hygiene results; Do spot checks by taking swabs and sending them to our laboratory at head office.
• Tabulate farm, hatchery and processing plant hygiene scores and send reports to our head office.
• Problem solving.

Salary range of R16 500 plus a car allowance of R5 000.
