What makes Katoo unique?
In 2021, consumers are used to ordering their favourite ๐ and ๐ from restaurants in just two clicks using apps like Glovo, UberEats, Deliveroo, etc.
On the other hand, restaurants are still using pen & paper, WhatsApp, phone calls or even fax (yes, it's a thing!) to place their orders to their suppliers. Take a look at the other side and youโll find thousands of suppliers waking up at 4 am, listening to countless voice notes and spending hours manually inputting the orders sent by their restaurants into their ERPs. The process is boring, time-consuming and prone to mistakes for both sides.
Enters Katoo and our mission to connect and empower the food supply chain, offering restaurants and suppliers the best tools to manage their relationships.
We started with a mobile app for restaurants that saves an average of 5 hours a week in ordering processes and reduces up to 80% of their mistakes. Despite lockdowns, we have grown our business x8 in the last 12 months, making operations faster and smoother for more than 5.000 restaurants & suppliers. We recently launched our second product and rest assured we have ambitious plans for what's next - including expanding our services to more countries.
To get there, we are focused on hiring people who shares our values. We call it TACOS ๐ฎ:
- Tenacity: we focus on impact.
- Ambition: we make big, bold bets.
- Client-first: we are bounded to our clients.
- Ownership: we are all bosses.
- Socialisation: we foster socialisation between cross-functional departments.
Ok, but what is the Product Manager role about?
In sum, the Product Manager role is about being the enabler helping teams ship products that are:
- Successful relative to goals (OKRs);
- On-time relative to expectations;
- Enjoyable relative to how the team felt when building them.
We are hiring multiple Product Managers that will complement each other in order to form a stronger team. You don't have to fulfil all the points below. But, as a team, Product Managers at Katoo will:
- Own the product development process with the support of Product Designers and Engineers.
- Develop product requirements with clear goals and ensure Product Designers and Engineers have all the knowledge required to solve the problem.
- Prioritise initiatives based on impact. Find the right balance between new features, improvements on existing features, and other teams' needs that require Product and Tech efforts.
- Be the contact point for your team during execution. Shield the team from distractions while still keeping them informed of the priorities.
- Define success criteria and guarantee the execution solves the problems stated.
- Measure the impact of shipped work based on previously defined goals, and take action when necessary.
- Foster a culture of cross-team collaboration and decision-making supported by data while not ignoring strong intuition from previous experiences.
- Ignite and inspire everyone in the product development process to foster bold and sometimes risky ideas.
- Contribute to the evolution of our product vision, strategy and development methods.
- Collaborate on the definition and follow-up of OKRs.
What about the person you're looking for?
We look for someone who has:
- Over 3 years of Product Management experience managing software products from kick-off to ship.
- Experience shipping products with great user experiences and meaningful impact on customers.
- Persistence and adaptability to ensure that your product and team are successful.
It will be fundamental that this person has the following values:
- Organised & Autonomous: as we grow, teams will start focusing more on specific initiatives (we are hiring for that!). However, until this happens the short-term reality will be a mix of multiple projects in different phases. The PM must be organised to understand at every moment how the project is going, and whether it needs more of your attention.
- Clear communication: the PM will be constantly involved in cross-team collaboration. Communicating clearly is fundamental to make sure all teams are aligned and fully contextualised.
- Customer-centred: we value people who focus on generating a positive impact on our customers. There are thousands of problems to be solved, but we can't tackle all of them. PMs must use their time wisely in order to deliver the most value. We are especially interested in people who can find simple solutions to complex problems.
- Analytical: the PM should use all the tools at their disposal to figure out how to set goals, prioritise tasks, and sequence projects in a way that inspires confidence.
- Open and adaptable: the PM will constantly meet people with different technical backgrounds and expertise. It's the PM's job to understand how to get the most out of each stakeholder.
- Collaborative and lightweight: we work as a team, not as individuals. We ask every team member to consider the impact of your work on others and look for ways of improving and growing together.
How are the Product & Tech teams structured?
- Formed by international talent, you would be colleagues with people from Brazil, Bulgaria, India, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Spain ๐ง๐ท๐ง๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฑ๐น๐ต๐ฑ๐ท๐ด๐ช๐ธ.

- Async work is encouraged, but sync work is also needed. Although we would love to have you working whenever you feel like doing it, we are conscious of our organisation limitations at the moment. We are growing fast and adapting on the way. Because of this, we require the team to work on Central European Time to be enough time in sync with the rest of the team.
What do you offer?
- ๐๏ธ Start date: as soon as possible. If you want a date, it would be yesterday!
- ๐ Location: Remote. You can also work from our offices in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) or Italy (Milan and Turin).

- A young and ambitious team that knows when to work but also when to have fun (company events, weekly lunches, beers๐๐ป, etc.).
