An open and transparent working environment
You can get involved in all parts of the business that interests you whilst staying in the know as all emails for the company are visible in an open email archive. We encourage you to learn new technologies and contribute to open source software as much as possible. Being advocates of the open source community, we regularly contribute back in any way possible.
We also have a fantastic blog which has proved to be a popular source for learning about load balancing and other technologies. Being advocates of the open source ethos, we regularly contribute by helping the communities by answering external forums too.
Our development team
Our engineers are from a variety of backgrounds; some with degrees; some without degrees; some of us have worked in large companies; some have only ever worked at startups.
We work in small, interdisciplinary teams in project-based sprints. As an engineer, you’d be able to work directly with anyone across the company and have the opportunity to move between teams or specialization depending on what works best for you. We hold regular company training sessions that you can partake to help you learn and continue to grow your career.
Who you are
As a passionate engineer, you’re comfortable working within a team environment of like-minded people with experience in frontend development.
You have the confidence to speak up when you have new ideas and will disagree with design decisions if they think they are not the best direction to go moving forward.
Lastly, you’re able to adapt to a constantly changing workspace and show initiative. We have large ambitions!
What you'll be doing
- Working on our load balancer product's frontend written in Javascript/Typescript.
- Collaborating with our designers to develop intuitive and clear interfaces
- Working with your peers on tools to improve our joint overall development experience.
You should apply if:
- You’re keen to learn more about new technologies.
- You have keen attention to detail and UX.
- You have strong ES6 Javascript experience and other frontend languages including HTML, CSS/SCSS.
- You’re able to write elegant, reusable, and maintainable code.
Preferred experience
- Proficient understanding of code version and testing tools, such as Git and CI/CD.
- Proficiency in PHP and/or GOlang.
- Unit & E2E testing.
- Example portfolio available on Github or another provider.
- Experience with Google’s Angular Framework.
