SEMH Learning Mentor
A school in Lawrence Weston, Bristol is looking for a SEMH Learning Mentor to start from ASAP start until the end of the academic year on a fixed term contract. Pay rate is £110 - £120 per day.
This is a specialist school that focuses on giving pupils independence and self-advocacy. Pupils have a range of needs including autism, severe learning disabilities, and complex SEMH needs. Ages of students range from 4 to 19, and helps develop the skills and curiosity for the classroom and outside life. This school has a real passion for exploring the local community and applying skills that the children learn, into their life outside of school. They have a strong attitude to helping their students in both academic and vocational skills.
The team focuses on enabling staff to give children the skills to become resilient and ambitious. The curriculum is both diverse and personalised, giving you the opportunity to really make a difference to each pupil. Passion and a nurturing approach would be key to ensuring that children get the most out of their time with us. A successful SEMH mentor would be able to support students with possible anxiety and mental health issues, in an environment that nurtures this.
