SEMH Learning Mentor
A specialist school in Berkeley is looking for a SEMH Learning Mentor to start ASAP until the end of the academic year on a fixed term contract. Pay rate is £110 - £120 per day.
This is a small specialist school that combines the best aspects of mainstream education with the additional support and resources of a specialist school. Pupils have a range of needs including social emotional and mental health needs, autism, and additional learning needs ranging from ages 11 - 19. This school aims to prepare their students for life beyond school, with a focus on employability and further education, giving each student the possibility to choose.
The leadership team is looking for a highly skilled and specialist individual to be able to support each student in the best way possible. The curriculum blends both academic subjects and more specialised lessons like ‘social skills’ and ‘outdoor education’. Passion and a caring approach would be essential in becoming a successful SEMH mentor, as it allows the students to feel comfortable in their environment and meet their full potential.
If you want to be part of something that prepares children for the next steps in their life, and have a passion for shaping young people's lives, then this could be a great opportunity for you.
