A secondary school in Swindon is looking for a teaching assistant on a full-time basis. Pay rate is £104-£115 a day.

As an SEND teaching assistant you will be providing 1 to 1 support helping individual students with special educational needs. This will involve helping the student with academic tasks, social interactions and most importantly, emotional wellbeing.This individual support is absolutely crucial for students who struggle in a traditional classroom setting - as an SEND teaching assistant you will play a huge part in the day to day life of a student who really needs the support.
You will be delivering individual education plans (IEP’s) to follow and implement strategies outlined ensuring that the needs of the individual student are met. You will also need to assist in classroom activities such as providing additional resources to facilitate learning. In some cases you may be required to assist students with personal care tasks, mobility assistance or using specialised equipment ensuring they they can participate in as many school activities as possible
