Here at Long-Term Teachers we are working closely with incredible Primary Schools in the Weston-Super-Mare area who are seeking Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team.
We work with a number of schools in the area who are needing additional support with group interventions and 1 to 1 SEN Support. These schools have staff who work hard to encourage and develop each pupil's education. The teachers offer an inclusive curriculum and have a strong sense of responsibility and cooperation to bring a positive community to the school.
Your New Role
There are a mix of positions available, some full-time, others part-time.
The Head Teacher is looking for someone who is proactive, energetic and committed to engage them in their own learning.
Depending on your experience working with children, there could be opportunities to work with small groups, leading interventions, or working 1 to 1 with children with SEND needs.
You will be expected to:
- Strong positive behaviour management strategies.
- Work collaboratively with Class Teachers across the school.
- Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil.
- Be adaptable with the child’s learning environment.
- Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to feel comfortable.
Working with Long-term Teachers:
