Job Title: Outreach Digital Media Associate
Reports to: Senior Manager, Outreach, Prevention & Policy Advocacy
Hours: Part-Time (20 hours/week)

Job Summary: The Digital Media Associate is primarily responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the Maitri website and digital marketing efforts, and plays a supporting role in content creation and content dissemination via social media platforms. The main objectives will be to ensure timely delivery of content online, research upcoming trends and apply them proactively, The Associate will assist in all online community engagement activities as needed and continue to build and expand Maitri’s online presence through social media campaigns and online outreach activities aiming to raise awareness of healthy relationships and gender equity and increase community engagement.
Role Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with staff team to build and execute digital marketing presence.
- Assist in building community relationships through phonecalls, emails, webinars, and social media presence.
- Assist in the planning, creation, and distribution of social media content for all of Maitri platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn to help drive awareness and community engagement on prevention of DV
- Manage Maitri’s website, Instagram page and YouTube channels as needed
- Function as primary tech support for Maitri’s online events, webinars, presentations and social media campaigns.
- Provide audio & video editing for Maitri campaign videos and podcasts and publish them on relevant online channels and apps.
- Deploy e-communications using Constant Contact.
- Track, analyze, and report on performance of website and social media.
Administrative / Other:
- Comply with all confidentiality requirements, ethical and legal obligations of the program and agency
- Ensure accurate maintenance of records, time allocations, and timely reporting of activities as needed or requested for grants and internal reporting
- Attend monthly staff and volunteer meetings to foster understanding and communication and growth as a Maitri team member
- Support all agency activities and events as needed and called upon to do
- Uphold and maintain Maitri’s Leadership Principles Framework in all behaviors and interactions
Qualifications:
- Commitment to Maitri's mission and values. Knowledge of the south Asian community will be a plus
- College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Work experience in web design, multimedia, and digital marketing
- Experience in audio editing using Audacity, Garage band and /or similar software tools is a must
- Experience in InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and video-editing software is a definite plus
- Proficiency in designing and creating outreach flyers and emails using online tools
- Solid knowledge and experience of using social media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and You Tube
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and graphic communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently and collaboratively in cross-departmental teams in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Organization skills, attention to details, problem solving, focus, being goal-oriented and a high level of initiative will be a plus.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule when needed and to complete tasks on hand
- Work Authorization for USA required. Valid driver’s license and ability to use personal vehicle for transporting outreach collateral and materials to in-person events, as needed.
