About the Role
As a Solutions Engineer at Marqo, you’ll be the technical lead for our customers, guiding them to successfully design and implement solutions using Marqo's cloud platform. Collaborating closely with our sales, product, and engineering teams, you will play a key role in driving adoption and ensuring customer success. The ideal candidate thrives on solving complex technical challenges, enjoys building strong relationships with customers, and is passionate about shaping the future of AI.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to our customers, understanding their challenges and designing tailored solutions using Marqo’s technology.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs, define technical requirements, and drive adoption of Marqo's platform.
- Develop proof-of-concept applications, prototypes, and demonstrations that showcase the value of Marqo’s technology in solving customer problems.
- Provide hands-on support during onboarding and implementation, ensuring customers achieve their desired outcomes.
- Conduct technical workshops, training sessions, and webinars to educate customers and the broader community about Marqo’s solutions.
- Act as a feedback loop between customers and internal teams, influencing the product roadmap based on customer needs and market trends.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI, machine learning, and vector search technologies, applying them to benefit Marqo’s customers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a technical or solutions-focused role, such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and search technologies, with hands-on experience deploying related solutions.
- Familiarity with modern cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and APIs.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable, high-performance systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with vector databases, embedding models, or search technologies.
- Experience training AI models such as LLMs and neural networks.
- Start-up experience or an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the AI/ML community.
