Fig Leaf Group is looking for an Intermediate Full Stack Developer, to join our team responsible for building and maintaining a suite of complex products and websites.
Responsibilities
- Execution of our web growth strategy, spanning web products, testing, and automation
- Technical design, development, and delivery of web-based applications and services
- Create application pages to be responsive, fast, and easy-to-maintain by other developers and content editors
- Contribute in making software development design decisions
Requirements
- JavaScript – specifically ES6, ReactJS, NodeJS
- Git version control, HTML5, CSS3, and build tools such a Yarn, NPM
- Building web products that are Responsive, Localized and Accessible (specifically WCAG 2.0 Level AA)
- Data security best practices
- Developing and executing functional and integration tests
- Developing relational databases with MySQL
- Developing with Elasticsearch
- Working with and developing microservices
- Working and understanding all stages of software development
- Reviewing and participating in meaningful code reviews on Github
- Effectively communicating to both technical and non-technical team members
- JIRA / Confluence
- Assist with Cloud instance management and maintenance
- Using automated deployment tools – specifically CircleCI
- Understanding of working with AWS products and services – specifically (EC2, S3, Cognito, CloudFront, WAF, Docker, Redis)
- Working in an Agile/scrum environment with large team
- Familiarity with product life cycle
Personal Skills + Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering or related technical discipline
- 5 years minimum full stack web development experience
- Driven to succeed in a fast pace and continuously evolving environment
- Passionate about delivering high quality software and best user experience possible
- Have a positive attitude with good interpersonal skills and is approachable and supports others
- Ability to multitask and prioritise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
