Role Overview: As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the Technical community, providing expert guidance on our extensive product portfolio to both internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will encompass offering technical support, mentoring Applications Engineers and Advisory Technicians, and collaborating on complex projects. Additionally, you may engage in hands-on customer service within the UK and provide support to the EMEA Applications Engineering team on international assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer advanced technical support to internal and external customers, as well as mentor Applications Engineers and Advisory Technicians on intricate inquiries.
- Provide on-site support to UK customers and potentially travel internationally to assist the EMEA Applications Engineering team.
- Extend support across territories as needed for the Global Applications Engineering team.
- Offer expert advice on seal applications and fitting.
- Identify the need for new products and materials, and support the MBU in projects impacting the UK market.
- Develop conceptual designs for sealing solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Assist in preparing material specifications for new/existing products and contribute to product literature.
- Collaborate with manufacturing experts to assess production capabilities.
- Investigate seal failures, prepare comprehensive reports, and provide recommendations.
- Train, coach, and mentor Applications Engineers and Advisory Technicians, facilitating their development.
- Interpret and apply International, National, Customer, and Company specifications.
- Generate technical materials and data for internal use.
- Ensure that the Sales Team adheres to relevant Company Technical and quality policies and lead by example in compliance.
- Lead cross-functional teams in solving customer sealing challenges (Sales, Marketing, Product Engineers, Test Engineers, and Process Engineers).
- Support the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) initiatives of the company.
- Demonstrate commitment to our values and behaviors in daily activities.
Experience:
Essential:
- Previous experience in an Engineering role.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
