Exam Invigilator (Exeter) on a casual Zero-hours basis
Job type: flexible mostly weekend work; some weekdays.
Start date: ASAP (to be working full-day on 30th April 2024 and potentially 1st and 2nd May 2024 for CIOT exams) with further availability to work on other exams (e.g. IELTS)
Pay: £13.20 per hour including 12.07% holiday pay.

MTS Ltd is a dynamic exam services company and online language school. We are experts in the growing fields of computer-based testing and remote proctoring.
The Position
We are looking for 1 new invigilator to help administer CIOT exams on 30th April 2024 and potentially 1st and 2nd May 2024, and sometimes IELTS at our Exeter test venue. It is a busy environment and can be a stressful day for our test takers, so this role will suit people who are calm and approachable, with a good sense of humour.
This role would suit someone looking for flexible part-time work. On average, invigilators work 1 or 2 days each month.
Invigilators report to the Chief Invigilator, who coordinates the tests during the day.
Job Description
- Preparing the room, i.e. putting up clocks, start and finish time notices, and seating plans.
- Registering test-takers as they arrive.
- Admitting test-takers to the exam room in a quiet and orderly way.
- Conducting the exam according to the regulations of the exam provider
- Being constantly vigilant to ensure exam regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Returning all confidential materials to the Exams Officer at the end of the test.
- Commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of our test takers.
Person Specification
- Good command of the English language.
- IT literate and with a good eye for detail.
- Great customer service skills.
- Willingness to undertake training.
- Punctual and reliable.
