Purpose
To manage front desk operations and provide administrative support, ensuring efficient patient service and smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Non Clinical
Key Responsibilities
- Answer calls, emails, and patient queries
- Schedule and manage appointments
- Send patient reminders
- Handle billing, payments, and daily financial records
- Check medical aid benefits and manage claims (PPS, MPS)
- Maintain patient records, filing, and archiving
- Prepare referral letters and patient documents
- Assist with pre- and post-operative communication
- Manage practice diary and support the doctor’s schedule
- Coordinate outreach trips and appointment lists
- Perform general admin and reception duties
- Maintain cleanliness of reception and common areas
- Assist with basic clinical testing when required
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 2–3 years’ experience in a medical practice (preferred)
- Strong admin, communication, and organisational skills
- Computer literate (MS Office & medical systems)
- Professional, well-presented, and patient-focused
