Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, planning, and management of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, water, sewer, and stormwater systems.

This position requires a highly skilled professional with strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and project management experience.

Minimum Requirements

✔ Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 7)
✔ Professional registration with ECSA
✔ 12–15 years experience in civil engineering design, site supervision, and contract documentation
✔ 3 years’ experience managing Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) type projects
✔ Proficiency in Civil 3D
✔ Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure design

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering design projects
• Perform complex civil engineering designs and review technical drawings
• Manage project teams including technicians, technologists, and engineers
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and contract documentation
• Assist clients with project inception, costing, and planning
• Monitor and administer construction contracts
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards
• Participate in tendering and procurement of new projects
• Mentor and support junior engineering staff
