About the role
As native’s Brand Account Director you’ll be supporting the brand partnerships director across all existing projects and accounts with a view to securing new clients and driving revenue opportunities for the business unit. You'll be working with our highest profile partners such as Converse and Red Bull
The brand team at native are responsible for building out opportunities with our clients that help them engage with students across the UK. Where possible we keep the platform at the heart whilst also activating events, sampling and media campaigns on campus. The events on campus can be anything from gigs, pop shops, club nights, spoken word and more traditional experiential marketing. The team is split into 2 areas - partnerships and delivery, this role would bridge both teams and have 2 direct reports.
You will report to the Brand partnerships director - being great in this role is all about being a go-getter, a strategic thinker that understands how to activate great campaigns that ensure our clients are happy and we deliver on their objectives / ROI. You will need to demonstrate previous examples of where and how you drove clients’ marketing activity, ensuring high levels of client services were delivered. You will have a responsibility to deliver partnerships / new briefs to quality and to budget, broken down as follow
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Building and managing client relationships on a day to day basis (this role is a mix of net new business development and nurturing existing clients)
- Maintain and take overall responsibility for client accounts and/or project budgets
- Work collaboratively with your Account Team and the Exec AD to define, plan, implement and evaluate client account strategy
- Identify strategic partnerships – using your knowledge of the agency and/or youth space to further our reach
- Coordinating activity, ensuring briefs are met in terms of budget, time, quality and direction
- Representing the client’s point of view within the business and the business point of view to the client
- Provide team with direction based on client experience, knowledge and understanding
- Demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills, meeting clients and account deadlines
- Write detailed client briefs and/or define an activity’s scope of works
- Collaborate with marketing functions of the business, with the goal of driving further opportunities with existing and new clients alike
- Developing Account Managers & Account Executives to ensure they meet their targets
- Responsible for quality control on all outputs from the business including documents, briefs and so on
- Prepare for and lead client and internal account meetings following up with notes and actions, ensuring attendees accountable
- Be competent at presenting company credentials externally.
- Be the agency ‘know all’ on your clients and their marketplaces
- Effective prioritisation of workload including client, AM’s (where applicable) and self
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Previous demonstrable experience and a proven track record of business development and account management responsibility
- Previous demonstrable experience in working with and pitching to brands and agencies
- Experience in pulling the brief together and building out the strategy
- Previous experience in leading and managing teams
- Strong commercial awareness and managing P&L for each project/client
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to upsell and grow accounts
- Demonstrates creativity and innovation
- Experience managing multiple projects and balancing priorities
