Role overview:
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a pivotal role in driving our product-oriented technology strategy. You will lead the internal technology teams providing visionary leadership, and leveraging your deep knowledge of technology and evolving adtech trends. As our first CTO, your expertise will be instrumental in guiding our product development, technical excellence and organisational efforts, and you will play a pivotal role in furthering our mission to power campus culture.
What you’ll be working on:
- Technical Leadership
- Provide visionary leadership to the technology team, aligning efforts with our product-focused mission.
- Lead the development and execution of our technology strategy to drive innovation and growth.
- Identify and leverage emerging technologies to enhance our product offerings.
- Play an active role in furthering native’s internal tooling capabilities (Salesforce, process automation, data pipelines etc.).
- Product-oriented Approach
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, the product team, and cross-functional teams to shape our product roadmap.
- Ensure the technology team delivers high-quality products that align with our strategic goals.
- Drive a customer-centric approach to product development, with a focus on delivering value to our users.
- Team, Organisational and Cultural Leadership
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of technology and product professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, ingenuity, and continuous pursuit of excellence.
- Lead a transition for Native from a tech-enabled to a tech-first business, where innovative technical problem-solving is the standard across the business.
- Strategy
- Working with other leaders in the business, develop and articulate the company's technology vision, strategy, and roadmaps, aligning them with our ambitious growth objectives.
- Become an expert on Native’s strategic vision and the needs of our users - take a proactive and creative approach in delivering value.

- (Essential) Is a product oriented technologist and leader with substantial experience with fast-paced product development in startups.
- (Essential) Has a strong track record of building, mentoring, and managing high-performing technology teams in startup environments.
- (Essential) Is an exceptional strategic thinker, problem-solver, and decision-maker.
- (Essential) Is an excellent communicator, adept at collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- (Preferable) Has expertise in adtech and has a deep understanding of current trends.
- (Preferable) Track record of building technology products in a multi-sided marketplace.
