The Company
native is a platform that connects students with amazing experiences, built out of a passion to help students have the best time at university. We bring high quality virtual and IRL events to campuses across the UK and Ireland whilst supporting campuses with powerful engagement tools.
Global brands and event organisers trust the native platform to bring their events and content onto campus and we’re proud of the support we offer to our Students’ Union partners. We have a busy Freshers’ period ahead and are looking for staff to support our delivery and operations team.
The Role
We’re looking for confident, organised and friendly staff to support all aspects of our event and service delivery across Freshers and potentially beyond! This is a new position in a new department and there are several roles up for grabs. We’ll be learning together and having a bit of fun too. You'll be helping students have a great time in a varied role with lots of opportunities to pick up some great experience.
You’ll be responsible for providing gold star customer service to our student users and ticket holders via live chat and email. You’ll also help deliver our virtual events programme by babysitting live streams and moderating chat rooms. As a bonus, you'll get to witness and be part of some great events, like DJ nights, quizzes and lectures. We’ll need your help to organise venues, travel and other bookings for our in-person events.
Successful candidates will also provide front line and administrative support to our Students’ Unions, checking and updating event listings and sniffing out problems. If all that isn’t varied enough, we’re currently rolling out a virtual social space to many of our universities and we’ll need help to deliver on our implementation plan, gather requirements and test the product and platform. This is your opportunity to gain some experience outside of front-line customer service too.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve customer services via Zendesk live chat and email
- Support our Students’ Unions as they use our platform to list events and sell tickets
- Check, adjust and make new listings using our bespoke platform
- Support event delivery where needed - host small events and organise ticketholders, babysit streams and moderate chat room behaviour for streamed events
- Support the implementation of new products and projects, including our new virtual social platform
- Look out for issues, help us understand how our users interact with the service so we can learn and improve
- Support all aspects of service delivery as required, including logistical coordination of in-person events
About You
- You have natural empathy and get a kick out of providing great service to make users happy.
- You’re friendly and confident
- Nothing’s too much trouble, you get stuck in and do what needs doing
- You are happy to accept that we'll learn together as a team - we're a young business about to embark on our busiest period ever. We'll need to adapt as we go.
- You are exceptionally organised, able to prioritise and juggle several tasks at once
- You are willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Required Experience
- At least 1-2 years' experience delivering customer support by live chat and email
- Experience providing customer support in the events or entertainment industry an advantage
- Our roles are often a good fit for candidates who have worked for or been involved with their Students' Union during their study
- Experience using Zendesk or a similar tool (Intercom, Hubspot etc) would be an advantage
Why Will You Want to Join Us?
We're a small but growing team of friendly, creative and driven individuals. This is a great opportunity to support the delivery of an exciting, engaging events programme, pick up valuable experience and help give our users a great time. We also offer some great benefits, including free access to our office gym!
