About native
native is a platform that connects students with amazing experiences, built out of a passion for helping students have the best time at university. Global brands and event organisers trust our platform to bring their events and content onto campus, and we help support our university partners with valuable marketing revenues and partnerships.
The role
native’s Product organisation is growing rapidly, and is increasingly being looked to to promote a user-centric and data-led culture in the wider company. As we begin to support multiple product lines and a growing user-base, on all sides of a multi-sided market, the need for a firm foundation in scalable processes and intelligent curation of data is becoming clear.
The Product Operations role is a great opportunity for an analytically-minded and self-starting person to gain experience in several key areas of Product Management, to develop valuable skills as part of a rigorous problem-solving team, and to make a huge individual contribution at this early stage of our company’s growth.
You’ll help our PMs deliver for our customers and users by:
- Gathering and presenting data on how users currently use our product, from our platform tools, to help make informed decisions about which experiments are working and where opportunities for improvement might lie. Initially you’ll be given lots of guidance on what analyses to run, but over time you’ll bring your insights to the team proactively and take more responsibility for our data and instrumentation approach overall
- Acting as a mouthpiece for Product news both internally and externally, preparing our “product marketing” communications about new features and releases, building case studies of great customer experiences that highlight the value in our offering, and keeping other Native teams and customers informed on our progress and vision. Again, initially you can expect lots of direction on how best to do this, but over time you’ll take the initiative and become a natural hub for two-way communication on all things Product
- Supporting the overall Product team and the Head of Product in their pursuit of continuous improvement (tracking metrics, trying out new tools, researching competitor and potential partner offerings, keeping up to date with the latest thinking on Product excellence and experimenting with new methodologies)
You’ll be a great fit for this role if:
- You are at an early stage in your Product Management career and want to learn more while contributing to the growth of an exciting startup. No specific working experience is required
- You are a smart, analytical person who likes solving problems from first principles; numerical ability and comfort with spreadsheets is certainly a plus
- You are a strong written communicator who loves to see language used precisely but also accessibly
- You are a natural team player who loves seeing our joint efforts lead to success
Our Benefits
- We have 25 days (FTE) + bank holidays for most roles, PLUS a company-wide Christmas shutdown of around 7-10 days
- We benchmark salaries consistently, and have just launched clear frameworks for progression
- We are happy for you to work abroad for short periods, adding on time to holidays so you can travel further away or work in another country
- We give you all the kit you need to work from home
- We have a monthly well-being budget
- We are rolling out share options for everyone
