Summer Fresh is a Canadian, family-owned manufacturer of gourmet hummus, dips and salads, serving the retail and food-service market for 25+ years. As a result of their growth, they are adding a new Key Account Manager to their team to continue servicing clients across North America.
As the successful candidate, the organization will rely on your innovative approach and solid customer relationship building skills to manage and develop assigned head office accounts and provide strategic support to the Outside Sales Representatives.
Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Effectively build, implement, measure and refine programs to maximize growth and return on investment (ROI) for assigned accounts.
- Prepare compelling, fact-based and customer focused presentations that clearly highlight opportunities and action plans for customers’ business.
- Develop creative plans to meet customer strategies that include brand in winning position.
- Develop, in collaboration with customers, Private Label and Custom products to specifications to further grow/enhance the relationship.
- Lead the ongoing tracking of program effectiveness with appropriate measures to ensure effective execution.
- Provide ongoing communication to all stakeholders that builds alignment with account objectives.
- Develop strong brand and product knowledge: marketing positioning, value and target consumer.
- Remain current on market analysis, competitor analysis and market trends.
- Attend customer events, ECP dinners, industry conventions, trade shows, etc.
- Support data/insight gathering and reporting – internal/external
- Work on special projects and other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in a direct sales environment - ideally in CPG / Consumables
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline.
- Account Management experience negotiating with customer's head office(s) is an asset.
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated strong negotiation, presentation and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills across all levels - both in writing & verbally
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
