Game Data Scientist
We're looking for a talented Game Data Scientist to join the team of our newly launched game Block Jam 3D. You will serve as the sole data scientist to help the game team make data informed decisions. We are primarily looking for a full-time hire but are also open to a freelance or contract position. Position can be remote, but you must be located in the United States.
What you will do
- Be the pro-active owner of the entire data chain for Block Jam
- Analyze and interpret our game analytics to help make decisions
- Help design custom analytics events to better understand user behavior
- Create custom Tableau dashboards to view relevant game data that’s stored in an SQL database
- Collaborate with the studio lead to understand needs and proactively come up with actionable analyses across game design and monetization strategies
- Clearly communicate insights and make recommendations to the game design team to optimize monetization and engagement
- Use machine learning to predict user behavior
- Design and interpret AB tests
What you need to have
- Proficiency in SQL
- Coding skills - python, R
- Fluent in the data science workflow, applying statistics, understanding biases
- Experience working with Tableau
- Ability to understand a business problem, turn it into an analytics/statistics problem and solve it using adequate methods.
- Experience working as data scientist/analyst for mobile games or apps
- Basic understanding of mobile game design and free to play monetization
- Experience in A-B testing

- Experience working on a hit casual free to play mobile game similar to Block Jam
