The role

 

We’re looking for a creative and resourceful PR/Communications Manager to manage and deliver Penfold’s PR programme and campaigns to generate awareness for Penfold through compelling storytelling across a wide range of media outlets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with financial services brands either in-house or from an  agency and great media connections with money and personal finance journalists. 

They will be able to combine this knowledge of the media landscape with a keen eye for a  great story and be comfortable working cross-functionally to hone and develop  compelling press releases and campaign ideas to get Penfold noticed. The role will also support the Head of Brand Marketing in amplifying our events programme via PR and industry relations.


 

Skills and experience:

  • You’ll be a proactive and entrepreneurial PR enthusiast with a steady stream of creative and insight-driven ideas and the skills and experience to bring those ideas to life. 
  • Background in agency or in-house at a financial services brand 
  • Strong media relationships that can be brought in-house
  • Ability to build relations with the right people (internally and externally) to feed press office activity and campaign ideas 
  • Ability to integrate PR activity into wider content calendar and events strategy 
  • Ambition and creativity – we want someone who can step change our PR output and really build traction in the right publications 
  • Excellent written skills and impeccable attention to detail 
  • High energy, low ego - we are a team of doers and we need people who like to get their hands dirty

Our Office

 

We’re a remote-first business although we have a large private office at Uncommon  Borough, a large co-working space full of other awesome tech start-ups and more plants  than a garden centre. 

As part of our marketing team, we will need you to spend at least one day per week in  the office with the rest of the team to ensure effective collaboration and opportunities for creative ideas to flourish. 

We’re 6 minutes walk from London Bridge station & Borough Market (and 30 seconds  walk from Borough station). 


 

Our application process

 

We’ll have a very quick introductory call to properly introduce you to Penfold, find out  more about your experience and make sure you get a chance to ask any questions.

Then they’ll be a take home task, so we get a better feel for how you work. And finally,  we’ll organise a session with one of our Co-Founders and a small group of people from around the business.
