We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Events Assistant to support our event planning team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organised, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, workshops, and social gatherings.
- Coordinate logistics for events, such as venue selection, catering, equipment rental, and transportation.
- Maintain event schedules and timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Communicate with vendors, sponsors, and attendees to confirm arrangements and address any inquiries.
- Help manage event registration and check-in processes to ensure a smooth experience for participants.
- Support the creation of event materials, including invitations, programs, and signage.
- Assist with on-site event coordination, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Gather feedback from attendees post-event to evaluate success and improve future events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience in event planning or a related role is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with event management software is desirable.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
