REX Technology Solutions, which is part of the REX Engineering Group, is looking for an experienced Business/Market Development Manager to join our growing team! This role is based out of our headquarters in Naperville, and is an outside sales role that is responsible for developing and maintaining maximum technology sales growth and market penetration nationally. This role will be responsible for identifying customer needs, forecast sales growth, and develop relationships with key users, influencers, and decision makers. Our product offerings are growing – right now we have one software solution that is ready for beta users, and we have a product development team that needs this role to discuss our capabilities with potential customers to determine details of our next products. These products include robotic hardware solutions for data collection, material handling, and task operation, in addition to the myriad of use cases for our flexible software. What we have found is that while we can develop virtually anything needed to automate data capture/analysis, layout, or semi-autonomous material handling, the one portion we were missing is the ability to go out and get early adopters. These early customers are the ones who will be presented rough mock-ups and tell us what modifications they would need in order to pay some certain amount for the product. This hybrid business development/evangelist/strategy role is needed so we can determine the exact functionality, price point, and market size which allows us to define the product roadmap and marketing. Our goal is to develop a company that takes a realistic and organic growth approach to development of systems which assist in reducing inefficiency in construction.
A passion for the construction industry is required, along with at least 5 continuous years of selling to General Contracting firms. While the region this role covers is nationwide, a Chicagoland base of operations is required because of the need for collaboration with our product development team, senior management of our engineering and construction groups.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a corporate office, home office or in the field. The person in this role will be provided with necessary devices (computer, tablet, cellphone, etc.). This position requires at least 50% travel to fulfill the responsibilities of this role and is reflective of the demands in your assigned market(s).
This is a full-time position with health & other benefits. This position may require long hours to meet business requirements. Schedule may consist of nights, overtime, weekend, and holiday work; schedule flexibility is required.
