Hello teachers!
San Education Academy (https://www.sea1.org/ ) is hiring.
In the past we have focused on the ESL market, but we are hoping to open more classes based around the CCSS curriculum. We are looking for teachers with experience teaching CCSS.
We are an online school. Both our teachers and students come from all over the world. However, most of our students are based in Asia though we are growing quickly.
We use Zoom to hold the classes which range from 3 to 20 students in size. Behind the scene we use Zoho for internal email (students use this too) and Slack for team communication. Everything we do is online.
If we bring you on as a CCSS teacher, you will be able to try other classes in the future (ESL, technology etc.)
Right now we are hiring for our summer semester which is from July 1st to August 30th. The more subjects you can teach, the better. We are looking for teachers who can teach: reading comprehension, writing, grammar, science and math. We will be teaching grades 1 – 6, but that may change in the future.
Again, all of these subjects will be taught following the CCSS curriculum so experience using this is a requirement.
For schedule all of the classes will fall between 8:00AM – 8:00PM (Taiwan Time GMT+8).
Each class is 45 minutes long, and teachers are expected to prepare their own lessons. As teachers we often share ideas and material together so other staff members are available to help you.
Compensation is paid monthly via PayPal. For each 45 minute class you will be paid $22.50 US dollars.
What we'd expect from you:
- Able to communicate effectively via text (Slack, email, etc.)
- Experience using computer technology
- Experience teaching CCSS
- Unique perspective / insight / creativity you can bring to the class
- Experience teaching through a screen (Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts etc.)
All nationalities and backgrounds are welcome to apply but please read this ad carefully to make sure you are suitable for the position.
If you would like to apply please send your resume to chris@seaup.org
You are also welcome to send any questions to chris@seaup.org
I will not be responding to any comments or private messages. Thank you everyone!
