Job Summary: 

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Material Handler to join our team. This role involves the efficient handling, movement, and storage of products within our facility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Handling:
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
  • Safely unload, move, and store products in designated areas.
• Order Preparation:
  • Pick products from inventory to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Pack and label orders for shipping, ensuring all items are secure and properly documented.
• Inventory Control:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts.
  • Organize and restock shelves as needed to ensure easy access to products.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct quality checks on products during handling to ensure they meet Sheba Foods’ standards.
  • Report any discrepancies, damaged items, or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Warehouse Maintenance:
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to resolve any issues or delays.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and order management.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Must pass a background check and drug test as part of the hiring process.
