Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Filler to join our team. The Order Filler will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing orders for delivery and shipment, ensuring all items meet Sheba Foods' quality standards. This role requires efficiency, organization, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Selection:
- Accurately pick items from the warehouse according to customer orders, ensuring the correct product, quantity, and quality.
- Select items such as prepared meals, packaged foods, beverages, and bulk products like grains and spices.
- Packing:
- Pack items securely into boxes or containers to prevent damage during transit.
- Use insulated packaging and dry ice for frozen meal orders to maintain product integrity during shipping.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect all items for quality and freshness before packing.
- Ensure all products comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Labeling:
- Label packages with accurate shipping information and any special handling instructions.
- Ensure labels are clear and correctly placed for efficient delivery.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in tracking inventory levels, noting any shortages or discrepancies.
- Participate in regular stock counts and inventory audits.
- Work Area Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
- Regularly sanitize work surfaces and equipment to comply with food safety regulations.
- Documentation:
- Record and update order statuses in the inventory management system.
- Ensure accurate documentation of orders packed and shipped.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with the distribution and customer service teams regarding any issues or delays.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order fulfillment, warehouse operations, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills for order tracking and inventory management.
- Physical ability to lift and move boxes (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
