Shipper/Receiver at Sheba Foods

We are currently seeking a reliable and efficient Shipper/Receiver to join our team and ensure that our goods are accurately and efficiently handled.

Job Summary: The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. This role includes preparing outgoing shipments, receiving incoming goods, verifying the accuracy of orders, and maintaining organized records of all transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring all items are securely packed and labeled correctly.
• Receive incoming shipments, unpack, and verify the accuracy of orders against packing slips or purchase orders.
• Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Organize and maintain the warehouse and inventory, ensuring that all products are stored in the correct locations.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move and store products.
• Coordinate with the logistics and delivery teams to schedule and track shipments.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions, including inventory logs.
• Assist with inventory management, including conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during the shipping and receiving process.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and timely processing of orders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
• Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role is preferred.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
