The role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a vital role within our sales team, focusing on lead generation, prospecting, and setting the stage for successful sales engagements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels, including outbound calling, emails, social media, and networking.
  • Prospect Outreach: Proactively engage with potential clients to introduce them to Shortlister's offerings and set up meetings for the sales team.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities, leads, and client interactions in our CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Manager and Account Managers to develop strategies for reaching target markets and achieving sales goals.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with our products and services to effectively communicate their value to potential clients.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on lead generation activities, success rates, and areas for improvement.

The candidate

This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about sales, has a knack for building relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should be highly motivated, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the sales field.

 

Essential Skills, Behaviours, and Experience:

  • Sales Experience: Previous experience in a sales or lead generation role, preferably within Software as a Service.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and persuade potential clients.
  • Goal-Oriented: Driven to meet and exceed targets, with a strong focus on achieving measurable results.
  • Resilience: Able to handle rejection and stay motivated to pursue new opportunities.
  • Highly Organised: Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Team Player: Willing to collaborate and contribute to the success of the broader sales team.

  • Competitive Salary: £26,000-£32,000 depending on experience
