Chaman Bhartiya Leadership School is a K-12 school that will open in Bhartiya City, Bangalore in June 2020. The School will be focused on developing the leadership potentials and qualities in all children by giving them the best background for becoming leaders for India and the world. All teaching and extracurricular activities will be built on our Leadership tree: Learning to live, learning to live together, learning to learn, learning to act, learning to lead.
On the foundation of the leadership tree, we will create a Bhartiya Leadership curriculum that will describe the learning goals, the teaching activities, and topics that will ensure that the students will develop into future leaders. The leadership curriculum however at the same time will develop the academic skills so that the students excel in the examinations and assessments.
The leadership pedagogy will be focused on developing the goals of the leadership curriculum and therefore will be very different from traditional knowledge and examinations focused classroom teaching. It will be built on the following principles: play and learning, project-based learning and design thinking, learning with technology and personalized learning in a social environment.
We want the children to work with real-life problems. The UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development will be an essential framework. Therefore, the School will be an open school that will develop partnerships with individuals and companies outside the School. The students will make inquiries in the surrounding community, and the community will come to the school as help teachers and presenters.
