Snapshot Games is a video game developer and publisher founded in 2013 by Julian Gollop – award winning designer of the original X-COM games - and David Kaye - founder of Gaming Insiders. Our latest title, Phoenix Point, was released in December 2019, and is an evolution of the X-COM style strategy genre. In 2020 we joined Embracer Group - one of the biggest European game holdings.

Now we are expanding our Level design team in order to start on new studio projects and support Phoenix Point.
To apply, you need to be eligible for employment in EU/Bulgaria. Due to the pandemic we are working remote; after the pandemic you will need to attend meetings at Sofia office. Support for relocation to Sofia is provided by the company.
As a Level designer you will be responsible for blocking out and building levels and be ready to heavily iterate on them; from implementing feedback from play testing and peer and Directors review. You will work with the design and code teams on making levels as fun as they can be, and integrating features into the built levels. You will also cooperate with the art department to make sure your levels are up to the highest visual quality while retaining the gameplay and fun. You will have full level ownership from paper design, through greybox to scripting, iteration, debugging, optimization.
