ROLE PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, the Social Media Marketing Manager gives an exciting opportunity for a social media enthusiast to help us expand our reach and achieve our ambitious growth objectives. You will manage and create content for our corporate social media accounts and use a data-driven, evidence-based approach to drive engagement with our social and online communities.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitor and manage our corporate social media accounts, replying to messages quickly to provide a positive customer experience and develop a sense of community with our followers.
- Create and curate social media content for all channels from concept to execution, including interviewing staff and students, writing articles and blogs, managing student competitions.
- Take ownership of the social media calendar, scheduling regular content by liaising with colleagues across the university to cover news, events, activities and key corporate messages.
- Plan and manage social media campaigns in line with the student recruitment cycle and ensure that all content is aligned with the organisational brand.
- Attend events across all campuses as required, to provide coverage in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with new social media initiatives and generate ideas for maximising social media awareness.
- Measure and report regularly on campaign activity and outcomes as well as ongoing analysis of social media trends and digital innovations.
- Monitor competitor activity.
- Contribute to the development and discussion of best practice in the use of social media across the organisation.
- Occasional work may be required at evenings or weekends, for example to attend university events for the purposes of creating content.
