We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable X-ray Instructor with medical assistant skills to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess proper instruction and promote student learning outcomes to prepare students for a successful transition into the allied health field.
Duties
- Develop engaging instructional content on medical terminology, physiology, and critical care practices.
- Utilize LMS platforms like Blackboard to facilitate online learning and manage course materials.
- Conduct hands-on laboratory sessions to enhance students' practical skills in a clinical environment.
- Assess student performance through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to continuously improve curriculum based on current medicine and education trends.
- Stay updated on advancements in critical care and related fields to ensure course relevance and accuracy.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of an Associate Degree, preferably a Bachelor's degree.
- Must be current and knowledgeable in radiology content.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in Google Suite, ie. Google Docs, Sheets, etc.
- Current X-Ray Technician (XT) licensure is permitted in chest, extremities, and torso skeletal categories. Radiologic Technologist preferred with California licensure and national registration (ARRT).
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience as a Limited X-ray technician or Radiologic Technologist at an imaging facility, clinic, or hospital
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating independence when necessary.
