The receptionist will be responsible for greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service assistance. This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment.
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS
- Ensure an efficient reception experience for all Guests, including check-in and check-out
- Complete night audit procedures
- Ensure a positive outcome for any guest queries in an efficient and timely manner
- Ensure all team are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
- Attend appropriate training courses when required
- Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
- Maximise room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
- Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems
- Follow company Brand Standards
- Assist with other departments as necessary (F&B, Bar, Room Service, Housekeeping, Maintenance)
- Monitor all CCTV, Fire panels for the hotel and act as necessary
- Act as Fire Marshall in the event of an emergency
- Walk the building to check means of escape
- Cleaning tasks to be undertaken
- Shift task sheet to be completed
