Role Accountabilities:
- Discovering trends and potentialities in order to convert them into a revenue opportunity or a sustainable stream.
- Conducting market research and detailed competition analysis for benchmarking and building strategies for GPPL.
- Defining ideal buyers, select market segments and isolate audiences to engage and convert using data-driven insights.
- Partnering with content & community teams to define unique offerings and value differentiators, create pricing strategies.
- Build a cohesive short, medium and long term revenue strategy that encompasses sales and product/service.
- Managing sales teams skills, competencies and resolving any bottlenecks and issues for optimized return on spends.
- Maintaining a repository to access, target and retarget buyers, customers, influencers, experts and members.
- Ensuring efficient distribution of ad inventories, sponsorship and co branding opportunities for maximising revenue.
- Creating a positive brand image and awareness about GPPL in the minds of the new prospective clients and collaborators.
- To conceptualize pre-event activities like format of the event, date & time, duration, theme, ticketing, & platform/ medium.
- Make a list of marketing partners and brands to approach, defining categories, pricing strategies & deliverables plan.
- To create and update sales collaterals like sponsorship deck & branding deliverable sheet, marketing deck, speaker deck, ticketing deck.
- Create the email templates & email flow for outreach, partnerships, corporate sales, follow-ups, negotiation, closure and welcome.
- To prepare MOU & agreement support and negotiate all clauses with sponsors, partners, vendors, corporates and for barter deals.
- To follow-up for payments and ensure a smooth billing and invoice process for the sponsors, partners and corporates.
- To create a ticketing plan for retail & corporate sales with details of the ticket categories, pricing, quantity & phase wise pricing strategy.
- To strategize the event details for eg. event description, speaker information, FAQs, rules & regulations to ease selling the events.
- Assist with outreaching campaign creation, managing databases, targeting assistance & campaign review and feedback, sales call support.
- Facilitate project summary & timeline, brand timeline & disclosures, registration management, milestone charts, vendor cost & value benchmarking.
- Create a post event report for each affiliation to share the collaboration success, and understand the value of the partnerships.
- Provide proper oversight, analysis and train others in implementing a cross functional revenue cycle team.
- To ensure regulatory / TED guidelines & compliance are thoroughly met and followed in each communication channel for each affiliation.
- Participating and attending conferences, meetings, community gatherings and industry events that help procure leads.
- Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings, introduce & onboard them to GPPL.
- Nurturing leads, negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person towards closure and growing accounts.
- Understanding how to establish and maintain excellent relationships with C-level executives of key target clients
- Ensure optimization of the revenue technology stack including sales automation & CRM
Minimum Entry Qualifications
- MBA Degree in Sales and Marketing
- Certified Professional Sales Person
- Certified Sales Executive
- Proficient in using CRM
- Proficient in Office Productivity Suites
- Proficient in English Language
- Preferred Polyglot
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in BD for a content creative company. Total of 8 years experience in Business Development & Sales and on ground sales experience of at least 6 years.
- Proven track record of growing revenue & building partnerships with proven experience in developing and executing business sales and revenue strategy for content centric companies.
