This is a hybrid position, so the successful applicant can work from home but will be expected to come into the office in London a minimum of 4 times a month/once a week.
The Digital Marketing Assistant will work with the Digital Marketing Lead on Teenage Cancer Trust’s digital marketing activity and fundraising campaigns as well as challenge events. This would include fundraising, brand campaigns and promoting fundraising products and events like Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall.
The role would support the Digital Marketing Lead on developing media plans and building, activating and optimising campaigns. The position would also support on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategy and take an active role on maintaining and improving the health of our grant and Pay Per Click accounts as well as delivering email campaigns and helping manage our email platform.
You will have:
- Previous experience of digital marketing
- An interest in digital marketing and a willingness to learn and develop
- Experience of working on digital marketing/fundraising campaigns
- Experience of setting up, managing and optimising paid digital campaigns
- Experience in reporting campaign performance
- Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads, Google Display Network etc.
- Hands-on experience of paid social media advertising, particularly Facebook/Meta Ads Manager
- Ability to build, execute and report on email campaigns
- Ability to analyse data and report
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple priorities against tight deadlines as well as strike an effective balance between managing and delivering own workload as well as that of the team

Job Description
ROLE FOCUS
- You will play an active role on the digital marketing elements of our brand and fundraising campaigns as well as our high-profile campaigns like Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall, our portfolio of challenge events and volunteer recruitment.
- Planning, optimising and managing PPC, Google Grants, Social Media advertising and other digital marketing opportunities
- Work with the Digital Marketing Lead to ensure our digital marketing channels are optimised to drive responses
- Help manage our email platform Adestra and deliver exceptional email campaigns and stewardship programs
- Support our SEO work and help us ensure our website is optimised for search.
- Work alongside the Social Media Exec and Digital Engagement Exec, as well as the wider marketing and communications team
- Work with the database team to ensure data is managed effectively and safely
- Support and advise colleagues across the organisation in best practice of using digital marketing tools and platforms and help them develop and test digital marketing strategies
- Stay abreast of new digital marketing techniques, tools and developments and upskill colleagues and teams around the organisation
- Working on integrated projects with other members of the Marketing and Communications Team and Fundraising Team
- Take a role in the organisations digital reporting and analysis
- Analysing data to optimise future marketing, content and design
- Support the Digital Marketing Lead to manage organisational digital marketing spend to ensure the highest value is achieved with this budget, particularly in testing new approaches and developing the organisation’s digital skills and understanding.
- Under the supervision of Digital Marketing Lead spend small developed marketing budget in best way.
OTHER DUTIES
- Helping and assisting the wider digital marketing team when requested – this may include covering social media moderation at times and helping with content creation
- Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the post as requested by your manager
- Carry out the duties of post in accordance with Teenage Cancer Trust policies and procedures
DISCLOSURE AND BARRING CHECKS
This role will have limited access to the young people we support and will therefore require a Basic DBS check.

Essential Criteria
- Previous experience of digital marketing
- Experience of working on email campaigns
- An interest in digital marketing and a willingness to learn and develop
