As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, timely, and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. You will coordinate with both internal teams and external partners to handle all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring that products are properly packaged, labeled, and transported in compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Duties: Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments. Confirm that all outgoing products meet quality standards, quantities, and delivery deadlines. Handle documentation, including bills of lading and shipping manifests, to ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
Receiving Duties: Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage. Check products against packing slips and record any discrepancies. Properly store items in designated locations and maintain inventory records.
Inventory Management: Help maintain up-to-date inventory by logging incoming and outgoing shipments. Ensure accurate stock levels are maintained to meet production or customer needs.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move products. Ensure the safe handling of materials, adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.
Coordination and Communication: Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure the timely movement of goods. Communicate with vendors, carriers, and team members to resolve any issues related to shipment delays, damages, or inaccuracies.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse environments preferred.
Forklift certification is a plus or willingness to obtain certification.
Basic computer skills for tracking shipments and inventory using warehouse management software.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
