We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipper/Receiver to support our growing operations.
The Shipper/Receiver is a crucial part of our logistics team, responsible for managing all aspects of the shipping and receiving process.
This position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be responsible for ensuring that all shipments—both inbound and outbound—are handled with care and according to company policies and safety standards.
Receiving Duties:
Unload incoming shipments from delivery trucks.
Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders for quantity, quality, and accuracy.
Ensure proper labeling and documentation for received goods.
Identify and report any damaged or missing items immediately.
Update inventory records and input data into the warehouse management system.
Safely store received goods in designated warehouse areas, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Shipping Duties:
Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer specifications.
Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against order details.
Collaborate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries.
Ensure proper packaging and palletization of shipments to prevent damage during transport.
Maintain detailed and accurate shipping logs and documentation.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Keep work areas clean and organized to promote a safe work environment.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred but can be provided).
Proficient in basic computer skills, including warehouse management systems and shipping software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
