Our client is a fast-growing spin-off company developing next generation, miniaturized chemical detectors (mass spectrometers).
--They have developed the first mini-mass spectrometer that can be put in remote (non-lab) environments.
--They have the first mass spectrometer that can be operated by untrained personnel.
--They have the first mass spectrometer that is rugged enough to be put on the factory floor.
--Their mass spec is the first that will be connected to a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to provide in-situ controls for large-scale industrial processes.
--Their mass spec is now the most promising technology to deliver a 60 second COVID-19 breath test.
--Their mass spec is the first chemical explosives detector with an under 1% false alarm rate. For reference, false alarm rates for the nearest competitor can be up to 30%.
