(www.theadkinsgroup.com), a retained executive search and recruitment services firm based in Austin, Texas, focused primarily on the technology sector.  Our client company has retained our firm to assist in bringing on a seasoned, talented IT Solutions Product Manager to join this growing organization in a strategic, key role for the company.

THE ROLE

--As a Managed Service Provider (MSP) IT Solutions Product Manager, you will deliver third-party solutions that solve the needs of our client organization in delivering solutions to their clients.

 

--This function includes market & product research, planning, market positioning, testing solutions, negotiating price, meeting with clients, and driving product revenue for the organization. 

 

--You will take leadership of a wide range of IT products and systems, and will be the point person for planning, communication, and delivery of the solutions to our client's franchising system.  This includes, but not limited to, the RMM, antivirus, email security, backup & recovery, Help Desk, ECD, SEIM, SOC, and NOC.  

 

--You will be responsible for maintaining alliance partner relationships, working closely with the marketing departmentto promote solutions and deliver winning products to the system. 

 

--Lastly, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, prioritizing products, and defining the product vision.

 

 

• In this role, you will:

 

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap which provides proven solutions that maximize company revenue and profitability
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to provide clear communication, business-based prioritization, and definition of precise scope and planning
  • Evaluate potential new products for successful implementation in our client's system
  • Gather feedback from customers and franchisees
  • Cultivate and work with external third parties to develop strategic partnerships 
  • Develop and execute in-depth plans for the product rollouts, including qualifying questions, elevator pitches, personas, sell sheets, client-facing marketing material, launch kits, etc. 
  • Develop in-depth technical knowledge of the complete suite of products and provide support
  • Develop training materials for the product suite
  • Measure and report on product performance
  • Conduct market research to identify SMB IT market needs, trends, and products 
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
  • Achieve revenue target for each solution yearly 
  • Host webinars on products and product training
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

  • Experience developing/launching products/technologies within one or more of the following: Cloud, SaaS, or MSP Industry  
  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
  • Experience creating strategic product roadmaps, working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to own and deliver against business and financial goals
  • Ability to independently lead and influence senior leaders
  • Forward-thinking and systematic in approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to deliver clear messages to a wide variety of audiences
  • Strong analytical skills to pull insights from quantitative and qualitative data sets
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Expert level knowledge on competition, our products, and industry trends
  • Data-driven
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • Ideally you have a minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Product, Solutions Manager in IT space
